Dance Mentor

What makes me different?

I love to teach things you won't learn in dance class. This goes beyond private lessons—you have a thing you want to work on, and I can help you find the movement or solve the conundrum to help you go deeper and nail the choreography.

My feedback tends to be body-based, meaning I'm interested in anatomy in order to help you both do movements better and prevent injury.

My intense interests in anatomy and history also help to deepen your dance practice and shape your choreography to be more than “hey, here are all the dance moves I know in a somewhat awesome order!”

I earned my B.A. in dance (and psychology) from the University of Iowa, and I have over a decade of teaching experience from 3-year-olds to adults.

A one-hour session is $50. I like to work in 3-week chunks so we can really go deep into the work. Send me an email and tell me about what you’d like to work on.
